So for my bag, I took most of my time deciding on color, texture and embellishments - not process. I paid for this in the end because the Noro at the top of the bag refused to felt while the Cascade in the body of the bag rapidly felted, ugh.
I ended up making a major design adjustment. I turned the partially felted top into a gathered element and I put a tassled and embellished drawstring woven into it. The body of the bag is nice and firm and stands up on its own. What do you think?
My reading list book swap
Over on swap-bot.com I joined a neat swap where you send to two partners a list of your top ten books! It's an international swap so I got a great list from someone in the states and someone from Portugal. I played around with some paper crafts and made my list out of pictures. I included a typed list tucked into an envelope pocket that I made in the back. See any books you've read?

The bag is lovely and what perfect timing as it looks wonderful at this time of the year.
Cascade 220 is a wonderful felting yarn, extremely consistent.
Thanks for the tip on swap-bot I just joined their Coffee and Knit.
I love the bag. It is gorgeous!
I still love the bunny buttons even if I can't find them!!
The bag is super cool, love the combinations of colors and textures and what a great shape!!
Nice job!!
The bag came out beautifully! Way to just plunge in & come out with something so lovely.
I quite like the bag!
Portugal!! Woot Woot! It's only 10 million of us, but we're everywhere!!!
The bag is hot! I have yet to venture into felting...wow, there is so much for me to dive into when it comes to knitting. Just when I thought I was finally an advanced beginner, LOL. I love the three yarns together...they compliment each other very well.
Deborah,
your finished bag is beautiful! I love the little bunny on the strap. I have never felted anything (at least not intentionally) so your post is helpful to read.
I LIKE it!! You did a great job on it!
I LOVE the bag! It turned out great!
