It is safe to know who we are again...
...and where we came from
It is safe to know the immigrant in all of us again
It is safe to love our President againWe all have work to do now. We must work together to heal our country. We can't leave that burden to President-Elect Obama alone.

ReplyDeleteIn 2000 I had a great post-election depression. I went to bed for 4 days. In 2004 it was more of a feeling of hardship, like knowing you have to live through another particularly bad winter. This year I had terrible pre-election anxiety. Today I'm feeling lighter, cautiously hopeful. I expected partying-in-the-streets euphoria, but I think that feeling is being squashed a bit by the knowledge of the daunting mess the next administration inherits.
Out with the good ol' boy network. In with hope and integrity.
