Remember when I told you about going over to
Phyllis' house to watch her convert to a bag a beloved sweater she knitted over 30 years ago? Anyways, I've finally got her to stand still for 30 seconds to take these pictures
She then "reined" in the design by having authentic horse reins attached as handles. So cool!
Beautiful!
That is VERY cute!
ReplyDeleteI like. I like. I gotta make a trip to the Thrift Stores to search for some nice wool sweaters to felt!
ReplyDeleteGreat bag --- I love the bag handles...fantastic idea!
ReplyDeleteThat is AWESOME. And I love the reings! What a great idea! It's funny, I've been thinking about felting a sweater to make a bag. And then I keep hearing about people doing that. So I think that's a sign that I'm supposed to. I don't know why God would be sending me a sign about that, but there must be a reason.
ReplyDeletegorgeous bag, lovely colours and the handles are a great idea.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea...I love it. Cannot even tell the bag was a sweater in it's previous life :)
ReplyDeleteThat is so incredibly creative. Great job...love the handles!
ReplyDeleteHi Mom!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the picture - I haven't seen my mother in ages!
oooh, very nice!! Awesome idea for the handles too, it is sooo hard to find good leather straps too. I'm jealous!!
ReplyDeleteI've got another awesome sweater I just felted and is awaiting to be made into a purse. Thanks for inspiring me to get in gear!!
That is fabulous! Great idea!
ReplyDeleteI really like this bag!! And the horse reins just add to it!! Fantastic job.
ReplyDeleteAND I love the sweater she's wearing as well.
Horse reins are such a great idea! It is so hard to find good straps for a bag.
ReplyDeleteThe bag is wonderful!
That bag is so cool and despite being 30 years old which is practically 'vintage' in fashion terms, and starting life out as a sweater, it's still holding its own.
ReplyDeleteThat's great! Love the handles!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous idea. Those pictures will send me straight to the thrift shop tomorrow
ReplyDeleteThat is one of the coolest things ever!
