Phyllis gave me that tam pattern she got from the internets. It was supposed to be a chemo hat for my brother-in-law but I thought it looked too feminine so I guess I'll keep it.
I made this one for him instead in Blue Sky cotton. It's called Utopia. I hope it fits him.
I'm sending him this bulky roll brim one too
while waiting on Trick or Treaters last night, I made this easy k1p1 rib with the softest two yarns: Classic Elite Premiere and Lang Thalja
Oh, and while browsing at Modern Yarn in Montclair during their Anniversary weekend, I saw that headband in the store and I loved it. I've made two in Noro Silk Garden 1 skein and you can make it in a couple of hours. I left out the button you're suppose to put in the back. I just tie it. Yeah, lazy.

That was a serious hat binge. All lovely! I have the Calorimetry on my queue to make rather soon.. as in right after it gets so cold when I walk from the ferry to the office that my ears freeze. That's when I'll finally get around to knitting it :)
Binging on hats is good and they are quick! I hope the chemo cap helps your bil. I'm sure he will love it. That blue cabled hat is beautiful. I don't think the first hat is overtly feminine, but it does look good on you.
Wow, what a beautiful photo of you Dee! (the first one). I like the artsiness on the last one too1 And hey, that's a lotta hat goodness!!!! :-)
All your hats are wonderful...yes...you should be a hat model, they (hats) really suit you and they all look beautiful on you :) Me on the other hand...I rather go hatless ;)
happy knitting :)
So many pretty hats! Makes me wish I lived someplace colder.
I really like that headband. I'm not much of a hat person, they always come out funky for me. However you have the gifT!! They are all great!
Love, love, love, love, LOVE that first hat!!! They all look great, but I LOVE that first one! LOL
All your hat look great. I really like the tam.
OOh...there are gauges for hats?!? HA!! :op
Gurl I have been trying to knit my 1st hat since August! UGH!
I am having problems with the decreases on my cables...holes are forming and I am on circs....someone said it is time to ML so I will pick this project that is supposed to be so easy back up again! Ugh!
Mine is being made for charity.
I think your BIL will love hats #2 & #3!!
Hey! This is the best binge to go on!! :oD I hope to join in my FO soon! :op Haha!
Have a great weekend!
(yes I just wrote you a love letter! HAHA)
Nice hats. The one on the left in the hammock caught my eye - is it from a pattern?
I hope your BIL makes a good recovery. Tough stuff!
I love all your hats! I so wish I could pull them off. I love making them, just look like a goof wearing them!
LOVE the hats, especially Utopia.
your hats are wonderful. love that first one best of all, what pattern is it? i had to stop making hats. i have dozens. i can't wear them all. but i want to make dozens more, all for myself. hats are my favorite thing to knit. and mathematics? you must be making up the patterns as you go, i just rely on an old published pattern and go to town.
Your hats are gorgeous! I love making hats as well. I can't knit them though, they're easier to crochet. ;-)
You look great in all of those hats!! I love the tam, super cute.
WOW!! Great hats! You look soo beautiful too (but you always do). They all look fabulous!
I've missed you!!
Seeing all these hats on your blog and a few others is getting me in a hat knitting mood. Lovely hats, all of them!
WOW!! Great hats! Now I want to make some! You look so great in all of them as well! I've never been able to pull them off as well as you do. I think the suggestion of you being a hat model is a good one!!
wow... you have inspired me to do some hats..they are all gorgeous.. I need to put the socks down for awhile... besides hats go so much faster.
Love the hat's on parade. Funny, I have a hammock in my back yard that I use for the same purposes!
Deborah it appears that hats like YOU! You look fantastic in every one of those - I say you make some dups.
P.S. I just cast on for Utopia yesterday - great minds...
