Sad posts are such a bummer. But I can't think of much else to write other than this. If your children are sick, follow your gut and do something about it. My college student son called me 5 am just days before he was to come home for the holiday, that he was sick. I told him (and myself) to ignore the $100 deductible, the cost of the cab and the bother with getting dressed and all when you are sick and GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM.
He had a staph infection on his arm. It started out as a small pimple that grew in 2 days to a quarter sized abscess. He could have died. He didn't. I'm grateful. Thanksgiving.

That is pretty scary to have your son deal with, while away from home. I'm glad he went to the hospital and that he is ok now. That is reason for thanks indeed.
Wow! Very Scary. How's he doing now?
OMG!! Yes, very thankful you followed your spirit and he went!!
Please definitely let us know how he is doing now!
I do pray that he has a complete recovery and feels better soon!
Scary! Especially when they are far from home! Hope he is better now. Staph infections can be very bad!
OMG!!! I'm SO happy he's doing better now!! That is scary stuff!!
Such a scary incident, and good thing he has such a caring mother. I am sure for just as grateful you are that he is safe, he is just as Thankful to have a mom like you!
Oh my that is soooooooooooo scary. I'm so glad you ignored all of that. 100 buck deductible would've made me second guess. I gotta stop doing that! Wishing you and he the best, and a quick recovery.

This is so scary. we tried it 3 times this summer... by infected moscitobites.
I am so glad to hear that he is good again.
I know how it is to have nightmares about my son getting sick and I have to travel half around the earth to get to him.
There is alot to be thankful for.
Oh my Lord! That is a mom's instinct that comes from the heart. I wish him the speediest recovery. I am so glad to know that he listens to his mama.
Thank goodness you told him that & also that he listened! I'm glad he's all right.
Yes, it's a good thing you went with your instincts...and that he listened! Hope he gets well and healthy soon.
So glad you told him to go. Money is nothing when our loved ones' health is at stake! Hopefully you all had a good Thanksgiving together.
Oh Deborah. Thank God he's OK. I know that must have been terrifying. I hope that you have recovered as well. Take care of him and yourself.
That is scary. I hope he has a well recovery.
So scary!!!! Thank God he got the medicial help he needed.
Good decision...glad he got treatment for his staph infection. It must be hard having him so far away from you. Hope he's all better by now :)

Thank goodness you're instincts were right and you and he acted. I have read so much about staph in the papers recently. I wonder what's up? Thanksgiving, indeed!
I have been hospitalized for weeks for oral antibiotics for that kind of infection. Thank goodness he got medical attention.
Deborah I am so glad you were able to get him to go to the hospital. that Staph infection is nothing to play around with. I hope he is doing much better now.
Oh Deborah, thank God it's now a story with a good ending. That is a powerful message and I've taken it to heart.
I'm so happy to hear that your son is better. How scary it must have been, esp. to think of the outcome if you hadn't encouraged him to go ER.
Frightening! I hope he's OK. Sending healing thoughts!!
Thank goodness he went to the hospital and sending a Get Well Soon ((hug)).
Goodness!! I am glad he got to the hospital in time! One big hug to you, another to the boy and hopes that he'll be good as new very soon!
