Phyllis' Sweater Bag

Remember when I told you about going over to Phyllis' house to watch her convert to a bag a beloved sweater she knitted over 30 years ago? Anyways, I've finally got her to stand still for 30 seconds to take these pictures

She then "reined" in the design by having authentic horse reins attached as handles. So cool!

Beautiful!

I like. I like. I gotta make a trip to the Thrift Stores to search for some nice wool sweaters to felt!

That is AWESOME. And I love the reings! What a great idea! It's funny, I've been thinking about felting a sweater to make a bag. And then I keep hearing about people doing that. So I think that's a sign that I'm supposed to. I don't know why God would be sending me a sign about that, but there must be a reason.

I've got another awesome sweater I just felted and is awaiting to be made into a purse. Thanks for inspiring me to get in gear!!

The bag is wonderful!

That bag is so cool and despite being 30 years old which is practically 'vintage' in fashion terms, and starting life out as a sweater, it's still holding its own.
