Garden Club event
This is the one time of the year that I feel like a little girl free to wander into strangers' yards and secretly smell all of their flowers.
This year we invited local artists to paint the gardens...
And while I got to enjoy the seasonal beauty of my neighbors' gardens, I couldn't help but wonder when I would find the time to finish my own...
Sometimes the demands of life compete with all that I want to do in a day - reading, writing, gardening, knitting, laundry...
Only on the 7th day of June, it was no contest, I knew where I wanted to be and what I wanted to be doing...

Just beautiful! I love that you have some many hobby (passion) of interests!
Gorgeous! The flowers and the paintings. That looks like a fun, relaxing day. Hope you find time for your yard, too. Mine's hopeless. The only things that grow are weeds. I love flowers, but I don't think they love me. lol
oh my, hoity toity, garden club! looks lovely, surely will inspire you to try new things in yours. hope the weather cooperates and you don't lose blood sweat and tears on hot humid days.
Beautiful. That sounds like fun. You must live in a great community.
Those flowers (and photos) are simply splendid :)
Beautiful. What a lovely area to live in.
Very nice... Shhhhhhhhh, don't tell; Gardening is my first hobby, knitting is second.
VERY cool! This is one of the things I eventually want to do... it still amazes me when people tell me they are bored, there are SO many wonderful things to be doing.
I tagged you for a meme. Hope you don't mind.
Gorgeous pictures! Growing flowers up north, there's nothing like it! Such variety. We're in the hottest part of the year and our selection is dwindling.
Have a great 4th!
