Just when you think it can't get any worse

No pictures here, a note to say I'm sick. I spent too many knittless hours in the emergency room last night just for them to say, "you are sick". I have some kind of infection (they didn't bother to find out what kind - viral or bacterial) they gave me drugs for both. "You can have shingles or you can have celluitis." Why didn't they just flip a coin??

Oh, and the garage door broke so I couldn't get the car out of the garage (the rented car that is because my car is in the shop). $800 to REPLACE the garage door opener. Hmmmm, let's see what else could I have bought now that I'm up to $3400 in expenses and I've not even gotten a tan yet???

Fix car - $2000
Fix garage door - $800
Fix Deborah - $300 (and counting)

If this keeps up, I'll have to add the entire Koigu color palette to my dream about what I might have splurged on - for my birthday - had I not had the week from hell. My dream would go like this - Knit Koigu socks and Malabrigo sweaters on a beach somewhere while I listen to a bootleg copy of the reunited Police concert...

Stay tuned.

oH you poor thing!! I hope you feel better soon and that things settle down a bit for you. I hope you are at least knitting during some of this downtime (since you are too sick and too poor to go out)

Jeez. Feel better soon. Hopefully the world will calm down and stop cutting into your yarn money.

Oh Deb that is horrible, I certainly hope you feel better. That sucks they couldn't discern between shingles and cellulitis, I would imagine there is a distinct difference (and only because I know two different people who had one of the other and I could see a difference).

Keep the faith!

I am so sorry, Deborah! It is a bit disturbing that the docs couldn't decide what you have, but I hope the meds work. Rest up and feel better soon!

Awwwww, Deborah, that stinks! I hope you're feeling better soon.
DH & I tried to get tickets to the Police, they sold out too fast. :(
I guess it'll be a bootleg for me too.

You forgot to mention that the tax man cometh.
Seriously, I hope that your run of bad luck is at an end and that everything is on an upswing for you. I'm sending "White Lights" your way...You're in my thoughts.

Oh no! I'm sorry. That sucks. My mom deals with a lot of health problems that fall under the category of, "We think you have this. But we're not sure. And there isn't much we can do for you. We're sorry and good luck."

Be sure to check my blog. I mentioned you.
